TOPGEN launches new black tiger shrimp, signs strategic partnership
On April 24 in Khánh Hòa and April 26 in Bạc Liêu, Topgen Vietnam organized a series of seminars to introduce a new generation of domesticated black tiger shrimp, while assessing its suitability for aquaculture models in Vietnam. The events also focused on discussing technical issues in seed production under changing weather conditions, particularly broodstock conditioning and hatchery processes. The program was attended by international experts from Topgen Thailand, more than 20 hatcheries in Khánh Hòa, along with representatives from fisheries and veterinary authorities, agricultural extension centers, and local shrimp farmers. According to Mr. Dang Quang Hao, the shrimp industry is currently facing multiple pressures, including climate variability, rising production costs, and unstable markets, which impact both hatchery and farming operations. “The seminar aims to bring stakeholders together to improve efficiency and stability in shrimp farming, with a focus on applying Topgen’s new domesticated shrimp line to enhance productivity and reduce risks,” he said.
