Cà Mau Sets Its Sights on Shrimp Festival 2026: Elevating the Vietnamese Shrimp Brand in the International Market

Under the theme Ca Mau Shrimp - Reaching out to the world, the 2nd Ca Mau Shrimp Festival in 2026 is expected to become an outstanding event in Vietnam's seafood industry. Not only is it an occasion to promote the Ca Mau shrimp brand, but the Festival also acts as a bridge connecting enterprises, scientists, investors, and farmers, contributing to the development of the shrimp industry's value chain towards modernity, efficiency, and sustainability.

When will the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival 2026 take place?

According to the Ca Mau provincial plan, the 2nd Ca Mau Shrimp Festival is scheduled to be held from November 21 to 23, 2026, at Phan Ngoc Hien Square (An Xuyen Ward) and various related locations across the province.

Following the success of the first Festival in 2023, this year's event will be expanded in both scale and content, aiming to promote the image of Vietnam's shrimp industry while creating a favorable environment for trade promotion, investment, technology transfer, and local tourism development.

A meeting point for businesses and shrimp industry technology

The 2026 Festival is expected to bring together about 350 booths from enterprises, organizations, and units operating in the fisheries sector.

The exhibition space will showcase a diverse range of products and solutions, including:

  1. Processed shrimp and value-added products.

  2. Aquaculture seeds and supplies.

  3. High-tech shrimp farming equipment.

  4. Automation and digital transformation solutions.

  5. Water treatment, environmental, and energy-saving technologies.

  6. Typical OCOP products from the Mekong Delta region.

Alongside the exhibition is a series of specialized conferences, seminars, supply-demand connection programs, investment promotions, shrimp culinary demonstrations, and unique cultural and tourism experiences in Ca Mau. This will be an opportunity for businesses to directly meet with customers, partners, distributors, and importers from both domestic and international markets, expanding cooperation and updating on new technological trends in the industry.

Affirming its position as Vietnam's shrimp farming hub

As the province with the largest shrimp farming area in the country, Ca Mau continues to lead the development of the shrimp industry.

In the first 6 months of 2026, the province's total shrimp farming area reached about 418,000 hectares, including:

  1. Approximately 384,500 hectares of improved extensive farming.

  2. Nearly 33,500 hectares of intensive and super-intensive farming.

In addition to its area advantage, Ca Mau has also developed many specialized production models such as shrimp-forest, shrimp-rice, ecological shrimp farming, improved extensive farming, and high-tech shrimp farming. These models not only enhance economic efficiency but also contribute to environmental protection, adapt to climate change, and meet the increasingly strict standards of export markets.

Promoting the green and sustainable development of the shrimp industry

In the context of a global market demanding higher standards for traceability, biosecurity, and sustainable development, Vietnam's shrimp industry is gradually transforming by applying scientific technology and modern management.

The Ca Mau Shrimp Festival 2026 will serve as a forum for regulatory agencies, businesses, experts, and farmers to share new solutions regarding:

  1. Design and planning of farming areas.

  2. Water quality management.

  3. High-quality seeds.

  4. Automation and shrimp farming equipment.

  5. Disease control.

  6. Energy saving and emission reduction.

  7. Deep processing and logistics.

Furthermore, tours to ecological shrimp farming models and high-tech applied farming areas will help farmers directly access solutions that have been effectively implemented in practice.

Opportunities for expanded cooperation for seafood enterprises

Beyond promoting the local brand, the Festival also creates conditions for businesses in the fields of equipment, supplies, farm design, water treatment technology, and aquaculture solutions to access the practical needs of farmers.

Connecting modern technology with practical farming models will contribute to improving productivity, reducing operating costs, and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam's shrimp industry on the international market.

Towards a Vietnamese shrimp brand with global competitiveness

The Ca Mau Shrimp Festival 2026 is not merely a trade promotion event but also a milestone reflecting the determination to take the Ca Mau Shrimp - Vietnam Shrimp brand further on the global seafood map.

Through a series of exhibition activities, investment connections, technology introductions, and local cultural promotions, the Festival is expected to help increase the value of the shrimp industry, promote innovation, and expand international cooperation, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of Vietnam's shrimp industry in a new era.
