Businesses in Binh Dinh release nearly half a million breeds to compensate for biodiversity

Release aquatic breeds to compensate for biodiversity
The types of aquatic breeds released to restore biodiversity are shrimp, crabs and fish. This seed source is purchased by Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company and ensures quality and technical regulations according to the requirements of the authorities. The total number of fingerlings stocked is about 469,600, including about 4,600 seabass, 15,000 crabs and 450,000 tiger shrimps…
Breeding area at Truong Uc River (Quy Nhon City)
As Thanh Nien informed, on February 13, 2023, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province decided to approve the results of appraisal of the environmental impact assessment report of the project Investment in construction and upgrading of wharf No. 1 - Quy Nhon port (by Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company implemented).
In particular, dredged material is pumped into 2 landfills in the new urban area of Cho Goc area (Nhon Binh Ward, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh). However, later, people were very upset because the dredged mud overflowed, blocking a section of the river near this urban area project.
On November 30, 2023, after an on-site inspection, the interdisciplinary inspection team of Binh Dinh province clearly pointed out the responsibility belongs to Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company and Phu Gia Riveside Company Limited. The inspection team proposed that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment submit to the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province to request that the two above-mentioned businesses be responsible for fixing the problem.
By early February 2024, these two units had completed overcoming the sludge situation from the Quy Nhon 3 Spillway to the confluence point with the Truong Uc River.
