[RECAP] AQUA MINA Marks Vietnam’s Presence at the Land-Based Aquaculture Exhibition 2025 in Tokyo, Japan
1. The Journey of Bringing Vietnamese Aquaculture Technology to the World
From October 15 to 17, 2025, Aqua Mina Co., Ltd. had the honor of participating in the Land-Based Aquaculture Equipment Exhibition 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan — the leading event in Asia dedicated to Land-Based Aquaculture and Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).
The exhibition gathered hundreds of brands from Japan, Norway, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and many other countries — a global platform showcasing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable solutions for the shrimp and fish farming industry.
For the first time joining an event in Japan, Aqua Mina proudly represented a dynamic and innovative Vietnamese enterprise committed to sustainable development, contributing to the international promotion of modern aquaculture technology.
Booths R31 – R32 of Aqua Mina attracted great interest from visitors, technical experts, investors, and industry media throughout the three-day exhibition.

2. Aqua Mina – Proud to Represent Vietnam at the Exhibition
The highlights of Aqua Mina at the Land-Based Aquaculture Equipment Exhibition 2025 – Tokyo, Japan are featured in the recap video below.
At the booth, Aqua Mina introduced its core product line — not just equipment, but a complete solution for land-based recirculating shrimp farming (Land-Based RAS), aligning with the development trends of Japan’s aquaculture sector.
HDPE Mobile Water Tank – A Flexible Solution for Japanese Farms:
Optimally designed for small- to medium-sized farms, the tank is easy to install, dismantle, and reuse — ideal for urban aquaculture setups with limited space in Japan.

Aqua Mina’s mobile water tanks attracted the attention of Japanese reporters and photographers.
Ventek Microbubble Diffuser – Ultra-Fine Oxygenation for Better Water Quality:
Generates ultra-fine microbubbles that ensure uniform oxygen distribution, improving water quality and the health of shrimp and fish — meeting Japan’s strict aquaculture standards.

The Ventek Microbubble Diffuser was prominently displayed at the booth.
A representative from Aqua Mina shared:
“Our goal is not only to introduce products, but to deliver practical, farm-specific solutions — whether for pilot projects, commercial farming, or R&D systems.”
The HDPE Mobile Water Tank and Ventek Microbubble Diffuser became the focal points of Aqua Mina’s booth, drawing significant attention from customers and the Japanese media (including Minato-Yamaguchi Newspaper
), who reached out to learn more about the manufacturing process and practical applications of these products.
3. International Connections and Cooperation Opportunities
During the three-day exhibition, Aqua Mina’s booth welcomed over 500 international visitors from Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Norway, and other countries.
Many partners expressed strong interest in Aqua Mina’s equipment — especially the HDPE Mobile Water Tank and Ventek Microbubble Diffuser — recognizing them as suitable and efficient devices for Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).
Beyond product displays, Aqua Mina also held in-depth technical discussions with Japanese partners, sharing insights on shrimp farming practices in Vietnam and demonstrating how its equipment is effectively applied in commercial RAS models.
These meetings opened up new opportunities for collaboration, distribution, and product development in Japan — marking an important milestone in Aqua Mina’s journey to bring Vietnamese aquaculture equipment to the international market.

4. Field Survey of Shrimp Farm Models in Japan
After the exhibition, the Aqua Mina delegation conducted an on-site survey of shrimp farming models in Chiba Prefecture, an area near Tokyo.
The purpose of the trip was to study operational conditions, technical features, and equipment needs of shrimp farms in Japan — serving as a valuable foundation for future cooperation and product development strategies.
Farm 1 – Greenhouse shrimp farming model supplying high-end hotel chains
This farm operates under a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) but still faces several limitations in sludge suction and water treatment.
The pond liner used is a swimming-pool tarpaulin, which easily accumulates dirt and is difficult to clean. The siphon is installed off-center, making waste collection inefficient.
Through the survey, Aqua Mina assessed that the application of high-quality HDPE liners combined with a central siphon design would help improve operational efficiency, pond hygiene, and overall system stability.

Farm 2 – RAS project by Seaside Japan under construction
The project is being developed by Seaside Japan, aiming to establish a solar-powered, IoT-integrated RAS shrimp farming model to achieve automation and address Japan’s labor shortage challenges.
Although still under construction, Aqua Mina identified several areas for improvement: the absence of a bottom siphon system, nano-aeration pipes placed too far apart leading to uneven oxygen distribution, and HDPE pond liners lacking a bottom drainage system, which causes water accumulation beneath the liner.
Notably, Seaside Japan expressed strong interest in Aqua Mina’s automatic shrimp harvesting system, recognizing it as a suitable solution to reduce manual labor and enhance automation — a key development focus among Japanese shrimp farms.
Farm 3 – Repurposing an old school into an experimental shrimp farming site
This model utilizes an existing swimming pool as a grow-out tank and is currently in the trial expansion phase. The project owner showed interest in partnering with Aqua Mina to supply HDPE liners and modular steel frames for the next development stage.
These surveys enabled Aqua Mina to collect real-world data, which will guide design adjustments to better suit Japan’s climate, spatial constraints, and operational standards.

5. Aqua Mina’s Development Orientation in the Japanese Market
Through the exhibition and field surveys, Aqua Mina recognized a strong demand for suitable equipment to support Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) in Japan — particularly products such as HDPE mobile water tanks, Ventek microbubble diffusers, and other related technical accessories.
The company aims to become a trusted partner for shrimp and fish farms across Japan by offering:
Durable, easy-to-install products at reasonable costs.
Flexible designs that adapt well to Japan’s cold climate conditions.
A team of local engineers and representatives ready to provide technical support, consultation, and on-site installation services.
Aqua Mina believes that the combination of Vietnam’s practical farming experience, technical presence in Japan, and advanced international technologies will help build efficient, green, and sustainable RAS shrimp farming models in the future.
6. Appreciation and Future Commitment
The success of Aqua Mina at the Land-Based Aquaculture Equipment Exhibition 2025 and the subsequent field surveys of shrimp farms in Japan mark a significant milestone in the company’s journey to bring Vietnamese aquaculture technology to the global stage.
Aqua Mina would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the organizing committee, valued customers, and partners who accompanied us during the exhibition: CME Vietnam, CME Japan, Seaside Japan, and Shuyo Japan.
Your trust and cooperation serve as the driving force for Aqua Mina to continue innovating and contributing to a green, circular, and efficient aquaculture industry for the future.
