OFFICIAL OPENING of the International-Scale Aquaculture Exhibition Series | See You Again with AQUA MINA at VietShrimp Asia 2026

On the morning of March 18, 2026, the 7th International Exhibition of Vietnam’s Shrimp Industry Technology (VietShrimp Asia 2026) officially opened. VietShrimp Asia 2026 and Aquaculture Vietnam 2026 are part of the aquaculture and livestock exhibition series in Asia, under the theme “Smart Aquaculture – The AI Revolution in Aquaculture,” taking place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) from March 18 to 20.

Broodstock, feed, equipment, AI technologies, and smart farming solutions are all showcased at what is considered the largest and most international aquaculture exhibition ever held, officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City on March 18.
VietShrimp Asia 2026 and Aquaculture Vietnam 2026 are part of the regional aquaculture and livestock exhibition series organized by Informa Markets. This year’s event gathers more than 150 brands and over 7,000 professional visitors from more than 20 countries and territories, marking the largest and most internationally diverse edition to date.
The exhibition space features a wide range of products, technologies, and services supporting the development of modern aquaculture, including key solution groups: Nutrition, Feed and Functional Additives; Advanced Technologies and Smart Aquaculture Solutions; and Production Support and Trade Services.
In addition to the exhibition area, the event also offers an in-depth knowledge-sharing program with 50 conferences and technical seminars, bringing together experts and business representatives from both domestic and international markets, focusing on key topics such as: Overview of the Aquaculture Value Chain; The AI Revolution in Aquaculture; Productivity Improvement in Aquaculture; and Shaping Sustainable Aquaculture and Fisheries.

First time both exhibitions held simultaneously in Ho Chi Minh City
On March 18, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), VietShrimp Asia 2026 and Aquaculture Vietnam 2026 officially opened, attracting a large number of enterprises, experts, managers, and aquaculture farmers from both Vietnam and abroad.
This is the first time the two exhibitions are held simultaneously in Ho Chi Minh City, creating a large-scale connection space covering the entire aquaculture value chain—from broodstock, feed, equipment, farming technology, environmental treatment, to processing, logistics, and export.
According to the organizers, this year’s exhibition gathers more than 150 brands and over 7,000 professional visitors from more than 20 countries and territories.
The theme of the event, “Smart Aquaculture – The AI Revolution in Aquaculture,” reflects the growing trend of applying digital technologies, data, and artificial intelligence in aquaculture.

Mr. Ben Wong, General Director of Informa Markets Vietnam, stated that 2026 marks an important milestone as VietShrimp expands into VietShrimp Asia and is co-organized with Aquaculture Vietnam for the first time. This not only expands the scale but also elevates the international profile of the event, enabling Vietnam’s aquaculture sector to connect more deeply with regional and global markets.
In addition to exhibitions, the event features 50 conferences and technical seminars focusing on topics such as AI in aquaculture, environmental management, productivity improvement, and sustainable value chain development.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Viet Binh, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in charge of the southern region, emphasized that aquaculture continues to be one of the key sectors of Vietnam’s agricultural economy. However, the sector also faces challenges such as climate change, disease risks, rising input costs, and increasingly strict international requirements on traceability, sustainability standards, and supply chain transparency.
“In this context, improving broodstock quality, controlling diseases, optimizing environmental management, and promoting science, technology, and innovation are urgent requirements,” Mr. Binh stated.
Strong interest in broodstock, equipment, and technology
According to Tuoi Tre Online, immediately after the opening, the exhibition atmosphere became vibrant as many booths were crowded with visitors exploring products, technologies, and business opportunities.
At areas showcasing broodstock, feed, biological products, farming equipment, and AI solutions, visitors continuously stopped to listen, ask technical questions, and discuss cooperation opportunities. Many booths were fully occupied during the first hours.

Companies presented key species such as black tiger shrimp, white-leg shrimp, tilapia, and red tilapia, along with intensive and super-intensive farming solutions and digital environmental monitoring technologies.
In adition, many booths introduced biological products, water treatment systems, automatic feeding equipment, environmental monitoring solutions, and farm management software—segments expected to grow strongly as the industry addresses productivity, disease control, and sustainability requirements.
Other booths showcased water filtration systems, aerators, and advanced feed technologies aimed at improving economic efficiency.
