The Process of Establishing a Greenhouse Shrimp Farm

Equipment and Tools

Greenhouse Film: This is a crucial element that creates a stable environment for shrimp farming, completely isolated from external conditions.
HDPE Pond Liner: The liner prevents water from seeping into the soil, minimizes mud, and avoids contamination of the shrimp farming water.
Water Filtration System: This system cleans water before and after introducing it into the main farming pond.
Oxygen Supply System: Helps generate oxygen to support optimal shrimp growth.
Automatic Lighting System: Since shrimp are farmed in greenhouses and cannot utilize natural sunlight, a lighting system is necessary. The light intensity must be adjustable to stimulate shrimp growth.
Automatic Feeding System: Enables precise management of feed quantities during each feeding session, ensuring an ideal amount for shrimp growth, avoiding leftover feed that could pollute the water. Additionally, it accelerates shrimp growth and shortens the farming cycle.
If possible, additional investments can be made in filtration and aeration systems to maintain water quality, heating and cooling systems for temperature regulation, and monitoring devices to track environmental parameters.

Cost-Saving Tips
Choose Long-Lasting Greenhouse Film: Since the greenhouse film is exposed to weather conditions like rain, wind, intense sunlight, and frost, it can degrade over time. Opting for durable, high-lifespan film enhances the greenhouse's protective efficiency, reducing long-term repair and replacement costs.
Select Climate-Appropriate Film:
In hot climates, use films that diffuse light to reduce excessive heat. In cooler climates, focus on humidity control and choose films that prevent water condensation with low light diffusion, ensuring internal temperatures remain higher than outside. The ideal film thickness is between 0.1–0.2 mm. Depending on regional needs, choose the most suitable type of film.
Utilize High-Tech Solutions to Save Time:
High-tech greenhouse shrimp farming is a breakthrough and the optimal solution for the shrimp industry. Farmers must familiarize themselves with and efficiently use machinery to replace manual labor. For instance: Use environmental monitoring devices to measure pH levels, dissolved oxygen, salinity, and temperature, providing alerts when levels exceed allowable limits for timely intervention. Employ mobile software to manage feed, record farm activities remotely, and more.
