Opening of Vietfish 2025 – the gathering place of the aquaculture industry’s finest
On the morning of August 20, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (Ho Chi Minh City), the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) held the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnam International Seafood Exhibition 2025 (Vietfish 2025). Taking place from August 20–23, Vietfish 2025 features 526 booths from 280 Vietnamese enterprises, along with 17 national pavilions from Japan, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Denmark, and others, creating a vibrant panorama of the global seafood industry. With the theme “Innovation – Sustainability”, Vietfish 2025 affirms the vision of Vietnam’s seafood industry: overcoming challenges, creating long-term value, aiming for 10 billion USD in exports, and maintaining its position in the world’s top 3.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Tran Dinh Luan, Director General of the Directorate of Fisheries (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), emphasized that Vietfish 2025 is a forum to assert the quality, value, and brand of Vietnamese seafood in the international market. Vietfish 2025 is the gathering place of the industry’s finest, connecting enterprises across the sector and supply chain, showcasing diverse and convenient products with a focus on deep processing and added value, while opening new strategic perspectives on green, sustainable development and global integration. Over the past 26 years, Vietfish has become the most prestigious seafood trade event in Vietnam and one of the leading ones in Asia. In 2025, the exhibition debuts a new brand identity inspired by the imagery of fish, a ship’s wheel, and ocean waves – symbolizing the strong offshore journey and reflecting the industry’s aspiration to conquer new goals. Not only focusing on exports,
Vietfish 2025 also expands towards the domestic market. Premium seafood products, which have already conquered global supermarkets, are now widely introduced to Vietnamese consumers, promoting the habit of using modern, safe, and convenient processed products.
