I. Introduction to the 2023 Shrimp Festival
Building on the success of the Crab Festival in 2022, Ca Mau has decided to organize the Shrimp Festival at the end of this year.
According to the information Tommy has gathered, the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival and the OCOP (One Commune, One Product) Forum of the Mekong Delta in 2023 will officially take place in Ca Mau City from December 10 to 13. The event, themed Elevating Vietnamese Shrimp - Together Developing OCOP Products, is a regional-scale festival with 14 main activities. Highlights include the opening and closing ceremonies, exhibitions, and conferences on shrimp industry development.
This year's Ca Mau Shrimp Festival will kick off at 8:00 PM at the central square of Ca Mau Province with a stage presentation of cultural programs that bear the distinctive characteristics of the Ca Mau region and the Mekong Delta in general. Before the opening ceremony, there will be a parade to honor the local products.

Additionally, there will be forums, conferences, and workshops on trade promotion, a review of the Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta provinces' collaboration program in 2023, tourism promotion, a conference on Connecting OCOP Product Exchange in the Mekong Delta 2023, a workshop on Building the Value Chain of the Ca Mau Shrimp Industry, and a workshop on the Current Situation and Sustainable Development Solutions for the Shrimp Industry.
Throughout the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival, there will be a Ca Mau Seafood Cuisine Day combined with a showcase of Vietnamese culinary excellence. Here, organizations, individuals, and chefs in the food industry will participate in processing and decorating images related to shrimp and unique aquatic products of the Ca Mau region under various themes.
The closing ceremony of the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival is expected to include award presentations for competitions and honors for organizations and individuals who have contributed to the province's shrimp industry, such as outstanding shrimp farmers, seafood processors, and innovators of technological models in shrimp farming.
