Vietnamese Pangasius Receives Good News from the U.S.
According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), on June 18, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) officially announced the final results of the 20th administrative review (POR20) of anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese frozen pangasius fillets exported to the U.S. for the period August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023.According to the results of POR20, seven companies received a zero percent duty rate. The list includes:
Bien Dong Seafood Co., Ltd. / Bien Dong Hau Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company
Can Tho Import-Export Seafood JSC (CASEAMEX)
Dai Thanh Seafood Co., Ltd.
Dong A Seafood One Member Co., Ltd.
Hung Ca 6 JSC
Nam Viet Corporation (NAVICO)
NTSF Seafood JSC

In addition, six other companies proved they met the conditions to receive separate rate status, and were also assigned the same zero rate as Bien Dong: $0.00/kg.
According to VASEP, Vinh Hoan Corp. is not included in the zero-duty list because it has been excluded from the scope of anti-dumping reviews in the periods following 2025.
This is a result of an agreement reached between Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) regarding case DS5368, which was concluded on January 17, 2025.
The nationwide rate under POR20 remains unchanged at $2.39/kg for other companies not listed above.
Pangasius is one of Vietnam’s key seafood exports, contributing billions of USD to the country’s seafood industry. Frozen fillets account for 80% of total pangasius exports worldwide. The U.S. is a major market for Vietnamese pangasius, so tariff developments in this market have a significant impact on the entire industry.
