- Nano oxygen tubes (also known as Nano air diffuser tubes) are an essential tool in aquaculture, particularly in shrimp farming, used for oxygenating and dissolving oxygen in the ponds. With the trend of super-intensive aquaculture nowadays, the need for oxygen becomes more crucial than ever before.

- The Nano oxygen tubes have many advantages, being very cost-effective, averaging around 15,000 - 26,000 VND per meter in length. They are easy to install, transport, and can be used anywhere, saving electricity and effectively dissolving oxygen compared to other materials like air discs or stone diffusers.

- There are various types, qualities, and sizes of Nano oxygen tubes available in the market. Aqua Mina provides a range of sizes to cater to different needs.

Technical specifications

- Nano oxygen tubes are made of synthetic rubber, and during the melting process, fine air bubbles are created. When there's pressure applied, the tubes expand, allowing air bubbles to escape and dissolve oxygen into the water. There are many sizes and types available. 

- The most common type: Nano oxygen tube 20/13: the technical specifications as follows:

  • The black Nano oxygen tube is made of synthetic rubber and has a slight rubber odor (the blue version is made of pure rubber, odorless, and highly flexible).

  • Tube wall thickness is approximately 5 mm, making it thicker and producing finer air bubbles than thinner-walled tubes.

  • Inner diameter is about 13mm, and the outer diameter is about 20mm.

  • Weight and packaging specifications are around 18 kg - 19 kg per roll, 100 meters in length.

Applications of Nano oxygen tubes in shrimp farming

- Nano oxygen tubes are used to disperse oxygen into water by creating small air bubbles that continuously transfer oxygen from the air to the ponds for shrimp, fish, snails, eels, etc.

- They reduce toxic gas in ponds by participating in the nitrite and nitrate transformation process, converting toxic gasses like NH3 and NO3 into less harmful compounds. They are also vital for the sulfate transformation process, converting H2S into non-toxic compounds.

- Aeration reduces chlorine levels, enhances the dissolution of microorganisms into water, and promotes their rapid and robust growth. Using the same power, multiple aeration points can be arranged in the pond, ensuring efficient oxygen dissolution and preventing stagnant water areas. Effective oxygen supply is a prerequisite for high-density aquaculture, as seen today.

- Setting up bubble diffusers helps meet the dissolved oxygen needs of shrimp, fish, etc., especially in high-density cultivation. A well-designed oxygen system plays a significant role and contributes to the success of an aquaculture venture.

- Providing oxygen to nursery ponds, shrimp or fish nursery ponds, ornamental fish, live seafood transportation, and cultivating microorganisms.

- Aeration is used in park ponds, golf course ponds, premium swimming pools in hotels, resorts, and tourist areas to reduce chlorine levels.

Installation and considerations when using Nano oxygen tubes

- A root blower is connected to a PVC pipe of 60 or 90 to the pond's edge. A tee connector is used to connect flexible plastic pipes to various points in the pond for shrimp, fish, etc. Finally, connect the Nano oxygen tubes to disperse air into the environment, thereby dissolving oxygen into the water.

- If the density is 2000 shrimp/m², 1m² per oxygen point is required. For lined ponds, it's 3m² per oxygen point. A standard oxygen point is about 0.6m - 1m long.

- Install the Nano oxygen tubes onto the F oxygen stand to keep the tubes straight for consistent pressure distribution. The air tubes should be positioned at least 15 cm above the bottom of the pond liner or 40 cm above the ground to prevent waste accumulation beneath.

- Can clean the Nano oxygen tubes by soaking them in chlorine for 2 - 3 hours and then thoroughly spraying them with a high-pressure car washer to remove any disease organisms and dirt after each cycle. Dry them well in the sun and store them clean for future use. If they're affected by mold or barnacles, it's recommended to replace them with new tubes for assurance.

- Under standard conditions of a water level of 1m and stable three-phase power, a 1hp machine can operate 25-30 meters of air tube. The air tubes should be arranged from large to small according to calculations to maintain consistent pressure during air transfer.

- Use a centralized air blower/blower head to facilitate control and maintenance if necessary. The depth at which the air tubes are placed needs to be relatively consistent for even air diffusion.

- The air blower requires a pressure gauge to determine the optimal pressure for efficient oxygen dispersion using the Nano oxygen tubes.
