III. Product Features
- HI76409 is a standard galvanic dissolved oxygen probe designed for Hanna's handheld and benchtop dissolved oxygen meters. The probe is made of durable ABS plastic and includes an integrated temperature sensor for temperature compensation.
- The probe is compatible with Hanna's PTFE membrane HI76409A/P. The membrane separates the cathode (made of platinum) and the anode (made of silver) from the water samples being measured.
- Oxygen diffuses through the membrane and interacts with the galvanic cell systems to generate a current that measures the oxygen concentration. Each membrane cap is filled with HI7042 electrolyte solution and is screwed onto the probe.
A. ONE-POINT CALIBRATION
- Calibration is performed at one point, which is 100% saturation in the air.
B. Replaceable Membrane Cap
- The HDPE membrane cap uses a quick-twist design that can be easily replaced.
- Replacement should occur at least once a month.
- Separate when not in use.
ELECTRODE CAP PROTECTION TUBE
- The meter includes a protection tube for the electrode cap to prevent damage during field measurements, such as in aquaculture ponds.
- HI9147 allows for altitude compensation up to 4000 meters with a 100-meter resolution.
- Salinity compensation can be adjusted from 0 to 80 g/L (ppt) with a 1 g/L resolution for measuring dissolved oxygen in brackish and seawater.
